Your Safest Choice for Following for the New IEC Safety Regulation

The Engineering Institute of Thailand has recently introduced advanced safety standards mandatory for all new rooftop PV systems in Thailand. Planning to become effective in early 2022, the new Thailand Solar Rooftop Installation standard will follow countries like the United States, one of the leaders in PV system safety regulations, and includes:

bullet Must indicate the Rapid Shutdown components by installation switch to start the function at the location that Fire Fighters can access easily such as the wall next to building entrance etc.
bullet Must have AFCI in DC side of inverter on rooftop    installations to prevent fire incident that caused by Arc Fault in DC side within 2.5 second.
bullet Controlled conductors beyond 300mm of the array need to be reduced to 30 volts or less within 30 seconds, allowing installers, maintenance workers, and firefighters to quickly handle the system after shutdown.
bullet Voltage within in array boundary must be reduced to 80V or less within 30 seconds, or the Control component that reduces the shock hazard must comply with the UL 3741 standard.

With SolarEdge, a proven industry leader in PV safety, you are perfectly positioned to easily comply with incoming Thai regulations for quick shutdowns and solar installations. Combining multi-platform safety technologies, SolarEdge solutions meet the new Thailand and international PV safety standards.
