SolarEdge Monitoring Alerts Updates

NEW: Get notified when modules are covered by snow

The new Snow on Site alert will inform you when a site’s inverters are producing less energy as a result of snow cover on PV modules. The alert will automatically resolve itself once the snow melts, and it can be found in the Monitoring Alerts system under the new Environmental category.

Snow Alert RN1
Module Voltage Mismatch

NEW: Save valuable time by identifying PV module voltage mismatch

Leverage the new Module Voltage Mismatch alert to quickly and efficiently establish why PV modules are underperforming, so you can restore module production to their expected levels.

You'll get notified with the pinpointed location of underperforming modules, due to burnt bypass diodes, faulty connections, potential hotspots, or other reasons, saving you having to perform time-consuming module analysis or physically checking the modules onsite.

NEW: Receive emails immediately after alerts are triggered

You can now receive an immediate, real-time email notification once an alert is triggered by the Monitoring Platform, resulting in much quicker and more effective issue resolution than before.

This alert is in addition to the Daily email notification, notifying you of any new alert triggered and/or closed in your monitored sites over the course of that day.

Your account Admin or Account Manager may configure the Immediate Email notification option by going to: Monitoring Platform > Accounts > Alerts > Choose a Profile > Choose a specific rule.

Please note:

  1. Each rule must be enabled separately
  2. As this feature sends an alert notification email for each alert type, it might trigger many emails. Therefore, it should be used carefully for needed rules only
  3. This option will be unselected by default. You’ll need to enable it for each alert that requires immediate notifications

DID YOU KNOW? Monitoring alerts can maximize Synergy Manager inverter uptime

Synergy Manager inverters (up to 120kW) include critical safety features that work in tandem with the Monitoring Platform’s Alerts tool to help keep you notified if issues arise:

  • If temperature levels on the AC/DC terminal blocks reach High or Critical levels, you’ll get real-time alerts pinpointing exactly where the issue is along with clear troubleshooting tips to get it quickly resolved. This includes alerts when inverter production is shut down due to a Critical temperature warning in order to prevent potential electric arcs

  • If the inverter’s DC or AC surge protection device fails, either due to incorrect installation or an electrical surge, you’ll be alerted to get it correctly installed/replaced
