We’ve Got You Covered! All the Commercial S-Series Transition Details in One Place 

Over the first three quarters of 2023, we’ll be gradually transitioning the P-Series to the new generation of S-Series Commercial Power Optimizers. This transition means that effective immediately, you can already order the new S-Series models and add them to your project designs. The P-Series models will no longer be available for orders.

But don't worry! Below you’ll find everything you need to get ready.  

What else this means for you

• Existing projects in the planning stage will not require any design change and will be replaced by the corresponding replacement model from the new S-Series
• Starting in Q1, we will begin working with our distribution partners to gradually convert open orders to S1200 Power Optimizers. S1000 Power Optimizers shipments will begin in Q2
• Starting in Q2, orders will be gradually replaced with either S1000 or S1200 Power Optimizers 

Key transition dates

• Q1/2023: Partial transition of open orders of P1100 to S1200 Power Optimizers 
• Q1/2023: S1000 open for orders 
• Q2/2023: Partial transition of open orders of P950 and lower power models to S1000 
• Q2/2023: Announcement of Service Replacement Models for P-Series
• Q2/2023: S1000 Power Optimizers shipments start

Power Optimizer inter-compatibility 

• S1000 is compatible with the P850/P950 
• S1200 can only be used in the same string with other S1200 Power Optimizers
